Haven Gardens is an established yet expanding business now looking to employ a skilled landscaping team leader. We are based in Hampshire and offer a permanent full time position.

We are looking for someone who has previous landscaping experience and who takes pride in delivering a landscaping build that exceeds expectations. A positive attitude and good communication skills are essential.

Role

To build and manage landscaping projects.

To manage day to day running of the site and team.

Implement health and safety procedures.

Work with managers to ensure the smooth organisation of materials, and timely completion of site work.

Ensure sites are left tidy.

Communicate closely with the customer.

There is opportunity for the right candidate to expand their knowledge and develop their skills by working closely with colleges and furthering their education learning if desired.

Qualifications, Experience and skills

Experience working from plans and scaled drawings.
Full clean driving licence

To be skilled in garden timber work – decking, trellising and fencing

To be skilled in stone work, stone construction and paving

Knowledge of irrigation and drainage systems
Experience in soft landscaping – turfing, planting and general plant knowledge To be highly organised and efficient time management

Experience in managing an assistant
Team player with a willingness and ability to work alone

Excellent communication and people skills

Role

To work as part of a team taking instruction from the team leader, assisting in the building of landscaping projects.

This role is to include all areas of hard and soft landscaping as well as general garden maintenance.

To provide a high level of customer service.

Qualifications, Experience and skills

At least 1 year labouring experience is required, landscaping experience is desired but not essential as on the job training will be provided. It is more important that you are honest, reliable, hard working and happy to work outdoors in any weather!

Must be a team player.

Must have excellent communication skills.

You will be required to be physically fit, as you will need to work to a fast pace and be required to carry out heavy lifting.
